Ms. Diane Dalzin

I am so excited to be part of LINCS Inquiry Charter School! Here is some information about me and my journey as a life long learner.

My teaching career began in 1988 in Burlington, WI. I taught there for 11 years and, after a few years at home with my children, I started teaching at Lincoln. This is my thirteenth year at Lincoln, now called LINCS. Before teaching in a multi-age classroom, I taught fourth grade, third grade, fifth grade, seventh grade, gifted and talented, and Title I. I am a graduate of the University Wisconsin - Whitewater and I also have a Masters' Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

I am not the only one in my family who is part of the Whitewater Unified School District. My son Mitchell is a senior at the high school. My daughter Lauren is a graduate student at UW-Whitewater, studying to be a school counselor and my son Connor is studying theater at UW-Milwaukee.  My husband is the superintendent of the Oakfield School District. I have a dog named Tucker who is also a big part of the family.

Being a graduate of U.W. Whitewater, I was thrilled to return to the city with my family and to join the school district. My children were attending Lincoln School before I started teaching here and I loved the nurturing family-like atmosphere. I really enjoy working with a staff that is so supportive and innovative.

I feel lucky to have a job I enjoy so much. My favorite part of teaching is connecting with the students and their families. Please feel free to contact me at anytime to discuss your child's experiences at LINCS.
