Why Whitewater? Whitewater is a great place to live, work, play, and go to school! We have an enthusiastic staff that works hard to meet the learning needs of all children.

Welcome to Lincoln!

I have been at Lincoln for 14 years as the School Counselor. I love to read, garden, travel, and hang out with my family. I am married and we have 4 children and 7 grandchildren who call me "Mimi!" . During the school day, I provide classroom guidance instruction weekly on topics such as manners, making good choices, reinforcing our school rules and Character Education. We are working hard on learning the 7 Habits of Happy Kids which is a kid friendly version of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey.  Lincoln is the first school in the state of Wisconsin to be a Leader In Me school.
Last year, all three WUSD elementary schools began teaching SECOND STEP, a social-emotional learning program that teaches children to solve their own "kid size" problems, understand feelings, and develop self regulation.

I also provide1:1 guidance services, small groups such as Friendship, Family Change, Grief and Loss, and Study Skills. Fifth graders complete a Learner Resume to give them insight to their strengths and interests, and explore career options. Family Connections is a school to home connection program designed as a bridge to strengthen families as a partnership with the school for students 4-K to 12. As the coordinator I also have some after school activities such as teaching the 5 week Parenting with Love and Logic class and overseeing the Fast Friend mentoring program with University-Wisconsin Whitewater students. I love working with 4K-5 students and consider it a privilege to be on Team Lincoln! Please call or e-mail me if you have any questions or I can assist you with questions or resources.
