Congratulations to the WHS Music students who performed at the WSMA State Solo/Ensemble Festival on the UW-Whitewater Campus last Saturday, April 26! The Exemplary Performance Recognition Project expands recognition of outstanding performers at the WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival. State festival adjudicators select the most exceptional performances at each of the festival campuses through a two-step process. Five WHS events received the Exemplary Performance Recognition Award: A'lani Ross (Music Theatre), Alexander Clarksen (Music Theatre), Ava Van Daele (for both Music Theatre and Classical), and Dante Baker (Marimba). Four more events were nominated for the award: A'lani Ross (Classical), Ava Van Daele and A'lani Ross (Vocal Duet), Charlotte Hajewski (Music Theatre), and Samuel Nickelsburg (Music Theatre).
